You should expect to have a scar where your operation has been. If it is a keyhole surgery, then there will be few small portals. If the I have used stitches (or sometimes clips) which don’t dissolve, then a nurse will see you in the clinic in few days and remove these.
It is common for some of the wounds especially arthroscopic shoulder surgery to leak a small amount of fluid in the days after your operation. In case of excessive discharge please contact the hospital.
You’re bound to feel pain in the area of your surgery, immediately after surgery. This is normal and usually eases off over the next few weeks.
In case you need physiotherapy you will be contacted by the physiotherapy department regarding your appointment.
